Spanish

At Wygate Park, we use Language Angels to support the teaching and learning of Spanish to our KS2 children.  

The scheme provides clear progression for the development of speaking, listening and writing Spanish phrases through the use of games, role-play, songs and rhymes. These weekly lessons help children to develop their language and then build on it further as they progress through school.

We believe that we are giving the children the best possible head start in acquiring the Spanish language and are setting them up well for life in secondary school as many of the school teach the Spanish language.

I like Spanish because you get to learn different words in a language. It has very fun activities to help you learn the language.

I have enjoyed learning the different Spanish words for colour because we could learn and use them to describe things.

We learnt about different fruit and instruments and it was good to learn new and unique words.
